2026 WT Band Alumni Reunion Wrap up

Dear WT Band Alumni,

I want to thank each of you who participated in the 2026 WT Band Alumni Reunion. This past weekend confirmed something I have always believed—WT has the finest and most supportive band alumni family in the state of Texas.

The weekend began with a fantastic BBQ dinner that brought everyone together. The ribs and sausage were absolutely outstanding, and I am deeply grateful to our hosts for opening their beautiful property and making the evening so special. Their generosity set the tone for a wonderful reunion.

We were also incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Garner on the podium conducting the WT Alumni Band. For me, the rehearsals were one of the highlights of the weekend. There is simply nothing more enjoyable than making music with friends, former students, and fellow Buffs. The camaraderie, musicianship, and enthusiasm reminded me why the WT Band program has always been so special.

Our concert was attended by a wonderful audience and was exceptionally well received. The performance was outstanding, and each of you should be proud of what we accomplished together.

The weekend concluded with a dinner at the Fairly Group Club inside the beautiful new Buffalo Stadium. The event was catered by WT, and they did a tremendous job. It was a perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable weekend.

A special congratulations goes to everyone who was brave enough to dust off their instruments and perform with the WT Alumni Band. Your willingness to jump back into rehearsals and perform made this event possible and created memories that will last a lifetime.

I have included a list of personnel organized by decade. As you look through it, I hope it brings back fond memories and reminds you of the lasting friendships that began through music at WT.

Thank you again for your support, your enthusiasm, and your continued dedication to the WT Band family.

GO BUFFS!

Best regards,
