2026 WT Band Alumni Reunion – May Update

We are excited to host the 2026 WT Band Alumni Reunion on June 12–13, 2026. To purchase your ticket(s) for the reunion activities click here.

When registering, select ONLY the meals you will attend, as food orders and guest lists for each event will be based on your selections. The deadline for the reunion registration is 5:00pm on Friday, June 5, 2026. The cost of the WT Band Alumni Reunion is $75.00 per person.

Dr. Garner and Don Lefevre are looking forward to conducting the alumni band. Don Lefevre will conduct Palo Duro Canyon Escapades in honor of Dr. Gary Garner. This new work was commissioned by Alan Hanna and gifted to the WT Band Alumni Association by composer Gabriel Muesella. We will also recognize the distinguished career of WTAMU’s clarinet professor, Mr. Doug Storey, who is retiring after 38 years of dedicated service to the university. In tribute to his remarkable impact, the ensemble will perform Clarinet Candy by Leroy Anderson. We hope that many of Mr. Storey’s former students will be able to join us for this special occasion as we celebrate his legacy and contributions.

Dr. Garner will select the remainder of the concert program based on registration numbers and instrumentation. When completing your registration, please specify the instrument you will play in the ensemble (for example: clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, or baritone saxophone). You may play the part of your choice. PDF copies of the music will be available for participating alumni to download within the next few days so you may begin preparing for the concert.
