Alumni Band Concert Highlights
Dr. Garner is planning to program a movement from Cantata for Band by Norman J. Nelson in honor of the late Don Baird. In addition, Allan Hanna has commissioned a new work by Gabe Musella to celebrate and honor Dr. Garner’s lasting legacy.
We will also recognize the distinguished career of WTAMU’s clarinet professor, Mr. Doug Storey, who is retiring after 35 years of dedicated service to the university. In tribute to his remarkable impact, the ensemble will perform Clarinet Candy by Leroy Anderson.
We hope that many of Mr. Storey’s former students will be able to join us for this special occasion as we celebrate his legacy and contributions.
