Lucas Martinez has been invited to attend The Low Brass seminar at Brevard Music Center!

Very similar to the help we gave to WTAMU clarinetist Dayton Scholz, we have another young star of the WTAMU Symphonic Band that we have the opportunity to help attend a very prestigious came this summer.

Please read on:

Hello my name is Lucas Martinez.

I am the Principal Tuba player in the WT symphonic band and have been for 3 years now. This summer I am invited to attend The Low Brass seminar at Brevard Music Center. During this camp I will be receiving lessons from Bethany Wiese (associate professor of Tuba/Euph Vanderbilt University) and Cristiana Cutts Dougherty (Principal Tubist Phoenix Symphony).  At the camp I will also have exposure to several valuable Teaching resources, Audition tips and Tuba Pedagogy.

This will all be taking place June 9th-15th in North Carolina. I've paid most of the cost of my trip already from teaching private lessons all over the Panhandle area and working at my kitchen job in Canyon, but I am still about $400 short. The deadline for payment for the trip is May14th. Any assistance at all would be greatly appreciated.

Below is a link to the camps website with an extensive description of the camp.
