New WTAMU Assistant Professor of Music Ryan Ingebritsen

Composer and electronic performer Ryan Ingebritsen’s music focuses on the multi-dimensional aspects of sound using musical lyricism to permeate and reveal musical structures that challenge performers and audiences to extend beyond themselves via interactions with visual, electronic, and natural experience.

He teaches music technology at West Texas A&M and received his PhD in Informatics from the University of Illinois and his Master’s in Composition from the University of Cincinnati. He is a Fulbright Scholar, McKnight Foundation Fellow, and has toured as a sound engineer and electronic performer with ICE and eighth blackbird while performing his own music across the globe.
